Medical and Dietary requirements

The parent or carer is responsible for notifying us of a medical condition, SEND needs, or disabilities. It is important to ensure that all information provided during the online booking process is accurate and complete, including medical, physical, or behavioural conditions, as well as dietary requirements. Please be aware that we cannot admit any child to Simon’s Sports Camp without a completed online booking, medical information, dietary requirements, and signed consent form.

Please contact us directly if your child has specific needs so we can discuss their requirements and complete the medical information and dietary requirements on the registration form at least 2 weeks before the camp begins. We will work together to find the best way to support the child and determine if any necessary adjustment can be made to ensure their full participation and enjoyment of Simon’s Sports Camp activities while maintaining appropriate staffing ratios. Decisions regarding applications are made on a case-by-case basis, taking into consideration the unique needs of each child.

Before the Camp begins, we will carefully examine all medical and dietary information provided. If you have indicated any specific medical or dietary needs during the booking process, please note that your booking will only be confirmed once we have assessed and approved the disclosed information.

Health and Safety (Including Weather)

Children should wear a sun hat at all times when it’s sunny. Before camp starts, children should apply sun cream and have their supply to use throughout the day. A shaded area will be provided for all children during hot weather. In case of wet weather, children are advised to bring appropriate outdoor waterproof clothing and may need a change of clothes.

Please not that Simon’s Sports Camp staff will not supply or apply sun cream.

Illness and First Aid

The purchaser must notify us at the time of booking of any pre-existing medical, physical, or behavioural conditions, as well as medication requirements, for us to accommodate the child’s specific needs. Failure to provide this information may result in the child being excluded from certain or all activities.

If a child is considered too unwell by the Camp Leader upon arrival, we maintain the authority to decline their participation in the Camp until they have been free of symptoms for a minimum of 48 hours. If a child needs medication, our team is only able to provide medication if it has been prescribed specifically for that child by a healthcare professional.

Children under our care will receive proper First Aid in case of an accident. If the situation is more severe, we will contact emergency services and promptly notify parents. Our Camp staff are all trained in thorough procedures for handling major accidents.

Complaints

Should you or your child be unsatisfied with the service we offer, please inform a staff member at Simon’s Sports Camp or email simonsportscamp11@gmail.com, and we will address your concern promptly.

Simon’s Sports Camp is not liable for any loss or damage to personal items during attendance at Camp. We advise parents and carers to ensure that their child does not bring any valuables to Camp.
